HAMAT GADER
Since
the time of the Second Temple, Hamat Gader has been well known for its hot springs.
Excavations that began
in 1979 have uncovered well preserved Roman baths,
pottery, coins and glass artifacts. Holidaymakers can spend a pleasant
day relaxing in the bathing pools that are filled with hot water from the springs.
An added attraction are the
pools amongst the trees and tall grasses, where alligators
imported from Florida bask lazily in the sun.
